Open my first post at wordpress home with my very own workplace, Studio 7.

Studio 7

I have been working in this studio for almost 9 years now. It used to be a potato peeling factory. One of the staff some how become the owner of the building and put it up for rent. Stephen Benwell, a well respect ceramic artist rent the building and sub-rent to me and a couple of artists. We call it studio 7 because the property is number 7.

I do not have my own kiln here (but i have a small one single phase kiln at home). Stephen is kind enough to let us all use his kiln as part of the rental. I some time rent another kiln when i have to do a big show so i can fire my work as often as i wish.

We used to run artist slide talk every month here for the last 4 years. When the digital images come in fashion, we then have a problem as more and more artist using digital image to present a talk and we do not have enough fund to buy a new projector so the monthly talk has been stop for sometime now.

My studio area is not big but I am quite comfortable working in here. It give me a sense of private space. Did i mention that it has a storage space attach to it!
