Sandra and me

I Met Sandra Black in Hobart, Tasmania long time ago. I was a student then. Sandra came for a residency at the University where i study and gave a fantastic workshop at local pottery group there. I went along and really inspired by the beauty of her work. She invited me to visit her studio ………..and i did…….well… almost 10 years after the invitation!

I was amazed by her front yard as it full of flower, all bright and colorful. When is step in her studio, i even more amazed of how clean and well organise it was. So well organise. Somehow I felt the connection between her well organise studio and her work. Both of them show the same top quality.

The studio is quite big, locate at the back of the house but separate from the house. Big glass window to let a lot of sun light in. Also well lid by electrical light at night as Sandra often work after dark.

Sandra show me around her studio including a small pond where local frog live. They are very cute but also very noise!
